ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am JoAnne Noyles.  I was launched into an unexpected, yet successful artist's journey through very common circumstances. I was at a local craft fair in Alaska in 2007 where a silk painter was selling her creations. I saw a piece that I really liked and wanted to purchase but we couldn't afford it. Then I saw there was a sign-up sheet for a beginning silk painting class taught by the artist herself at a price we could afford. That simple sign-up sheet was the beginning of this  journey and unexpected success has been the by-product of my husband's frugality.

Silk painting is challenging and exciting!  Silk seems to have a life and mind of its' own. Working with silk can be as simple as finger painting, and as complicated as figuring out the mind of your spouse.
